While streaming services like Amazon are removing features like Dolby Vision to place them under additional paywalls, Max is bringing this functionality to live sports for the first time at no additional cost.

The streaming service announcement This week, live sports will be available to stream in Dolby Vision to all subscribers with supported devices via the B/R Sports add-on.

According to the American company, this is the first time that a streaming service has offered live sports in Dolby Vision, providing customers with stunning visuals, sharp contrast and rich details.

Keep in mind that only live NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAA, and US Soccer matches will be available to stream in Dolby Vision. Max also announced that all live TNT Sports programming, including pre- and post-game coverage, can also be streamed on the B/R Sports add-on.

Sports fans who subscribe to Bleacher Report will be able to get a taste of Dolby Vision starting this weekend. This weekend's NBA All-Star coverage scheduled for February 18 (8 p.m. ET) will be the first live sports program to be broadcast in Dolby Vision, so be sure to tune in if you want to check it out.
