Draymond Green and Jusuf Nurkic have spicy exchange on X،
Draymond Green and Jusuf Nurkic exchanged views on social media on Tuesday. The exchange followed a dispute that began in December when Green punched Nurkic during a game, leading to the Golden State Warriors forward's indefinite suspension.
The two men faced each other on Saturday for the first time since the incident. Nurkic made a “too small” gesture to Green after the Phoenix Suns centered a hook shot in the third quarter. Green returned the favor a few minutes later, scoring a basket and hitting the floor to say, “too small.”
In December, after being hit by Green, Nurkic said that no matter what was happening in the four-time champion's life, he hoped he would get better. On Saturday, Nurkic walked back his previous comments.
“It's sad. He didn't learn anything,” Nurkic said. “It's only a matter of time. He's going to hit someone else again. Take back everything I said. He doesn't deserve a chance.”
Green offered his response on a Tuesday edition of his podcast, “The Draymond Green Show,” in a nearly 8-minute segment.
Green reflected on what happened Saturday, saying it all started when he fouled Nurkic in the first quarter, prompting the Suns big man to start talking trash. Green then accused him of “being in his feelings”, which led to Nurkic throwing low shots during the match.
He also added that Nurkic is “infamous” for being traded from the Denver Nuggets to make way for Nikola Jokic.
“I don’t know, I thought it was really weird to have my character questioned because I destroyed you on the basketball court,” Green said. “But honestly, I’m a four-time All-Star, four-time champion, I should destroy you on the basketball court.”
Nurkic didn't seem to find the comments funny, responding on X, which prompted another response from Green.

The Warriors and Suns are not expected to face each other again in the regular season. As of Tuesday, Golden State is currently the No. 10 seed, while Phoenix is No. 6, meaning a playoff matchup is not likely at this time.
