Another chance for the Honor Magic Flip to appear

Speaking of foldables, we just can't shut up about Honor's Magic V2 (photo above) and the way it's built – thin on the outside, filled to the brim on the inside. Just a few weeks ago, the world's thinnest foldable phone came out of China!

Now there's another opportunity to mention a foldable phone from Honor – although it's not a book-style phone like the Magic V2, but a flip gem: the so-called Honor Magic Flip.

More or less, three years have passed since Honor mentioned the Magic Flip. In mid-2021, Honor registered the marketing names “Honor Magic Fold” and “Honor Magic Flip” in China. Since then, nothing substantial has surfaced about the clamshell Magic Flip…

By Gizmochina, Honor is preparing to present its foldable smartphone “soon”. There's no specific date, but tech tipsters on the Chinese microblogging site say the Magic Flip unveiling could take place during China's Spring Festival (February 10-17, 2024).

There is a very blurry and obscure image that showcases the rear design featuring two modules in a circular ring, possibly housing a camera setup. Although details remain limited, the Magic Flip is said to feature a 4,500mAh battery featuring a dual-cell setup. Of course, all of this is unconfirmed, so it's best to take this with a grain of salt and wait for further updates (if Honor doesn't take another three years to release this clamshell).
