Last week we told you about T-Mobile's new customer appreciation program called Magenta Status. The latter treats T-Mobile subscribers like they're VIPs, which brings us to the Super Bowl commercial that the cell phone provider plans to air this Sunday during the big game. The spot will last sixty seconds during the second quarter and will show several famous stars “auditioning” to appear in a Magenta Status commercial.
For the second year in a row, Bradley Cooper and his mother Gloria appear in
T Mobilethe Super Bowl commercial. Other appearances include Jurassic Park star Laura Dern,
T Mobile advertising veterans Zach Braff and Donald Faison (of
Scrubs),
Suits stars Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams, Common and Jennifer Hudson. During the commercial, the voiceover announcer says, “Everyone auditions to get
T Mobile Magenta status and be treated like a VIP.”
The ad mentions some of the benefits offered by Magenta Status. T Mobile to subscribers, such as not having to return a rental car to Dollar with a full tank. It's certainly a nice perk, as is the $5 movie ticket that Magenta status offers to anyone covered by a T Mobile plan. A film is selected each month and for this month, this film is “Bob Marley: One Love” which will be released in theaters on February 14.
Magenta status members also benefit from a special rate on Hilton hotel rooms (15% off) and until March 31, 2025, T Mobile guests will automatically be upgraded to the Hilton Honors Silver level, giving them perks like free Wi-Fi, a free fifth night on award stays, and more. The program offers “premium benefits from brands you love” and all you need is to be a T Mobile customer. Or as the operator says on YouTube, “…luckily, you don't have to be famous to enjoy these notoriously awesome perks.”
