Android expert Mishaal Rahman Google found code in the Android 14 QPR3 beta (which will be the platform's third quarterly release Android 14 when it becomes stable in June) pointing to a hidden settings page for a new feature called “easy preset”.

According to these code results, “easy preset” mode will optimize the Android UI for “improved readability and ease of navigation.” It specifically does this by “enlarging icons and text, adding contrast and boldness, and adding navigation buttons to the bottom of the screen.”

Mishaal was able to manually launch the settings page for this simple new preset feature, but has not yet been able to activate the new mode. However, this mode brings a change when activated: the current wallpaper is replaced with a pure black image.
