Red Bull boss Christian Horner investigated over allegations of inappropriate behaviour

Red Bull boss Christian Horner is under internal investigation over allegations of inappropriate behavior.

The investigation is being carried out by the entire Red Bull company, and not by the Red Bull F1 team of which Horner has been team boss since its creation in 2005.

Red Bull said in a statement on Monday: “After becoming aware of certain recent allegations, the company has launched an independent investigation. This process, already underway, is being conducted by an external specialist lawyer. The company is taking these matters into its own hands. extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as possible. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.”

A spokesperson for Horner, 50, said he “completely rejects these claims”, although the F1 team had no further comment.

Under Horner's leadership, Red Bull has won six constructors' championships and seven drivers' championships, including three in a row with Max Verstappen since 2021.

Red Bull enters the new season after the most dominant season in history, which saw the team win 21 of 22 races. The new F1 season begins with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 2.
