We're getting updates from reputable leakers regarding the iPhone 16 models and the “significant design changes” they'll reportedly bring. Tipster Majin Bu has released schematics for what is believed to be an iPhone 16 that shares its appearance with the iPhone X and 11 with a standard vertically stacked dual rear camera setup. Here's what the latest buzz is about.

According to leaker Majin Bu, the iPhone 16 is likely to share similarities with the iPhone X and 11 and it goes without saying that the design DNA will carry over to the Pro series as well. On the other hand, we saw the usual square camera with a dual camera on the iPhone 16, while the Pro will get a triple camera setup, as you can see in the labeled images below.

The tipster hints that the iPhone 16 Pro is likely to have minimal changes in screen size compared to the 0.2-inch increase projected in previous rumors. Note that we might get a slight increase in screen area at 0.x inches.

Apart from this, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will see a 0.2″ change in screen size, going from 6.7″ (in the 15 Pro Max) to 6.9″. Both Pro models will likely have a new button layout as well due to the inclusion of the Capture button. These capacitive buttons are likely to be recessed into the screen with flat surfaces. From what we saw in the renders, the capture button is located at the bottom of the right edge, plus the power button at the top, while the action button and volume rockers are located on the left side.

On the other hand, Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple supply chain analyst, says the iPhone 16 models are unlikely to get a major design overhaul. The changes won't happen until 2025, when the iPhone 17 series is ready to launch. Additionally, comprehensive generative AI features could also join the same boat with the iPhone 17 series in late 2025.
