Sheffield United sack women’s boss Morgan over prior conduct،

Sheffield United Women's manager Jonathan Morgan was sacked on Friday after just one year for what the club described as “conduct before his arrival at Bramall Lane”.

“Due to new information coming to light in recent days regarding Mr Morgan's conduct prior to his arrival at Bramall Lane, the club has come to the conclusion that Mr Morgan's position is no longer tenable and that his employment with the club has come to an end.”, the Women's Championship team said in a statement.

Morgan's management agency also terminated its contract with the coach on Friday, citing a relationship he had with a player in his care.

“Over the past 24 hours, we have learned new information regarding Jonathan Morgan and a relationship with a player under his care. We will no longer be working with him in any capacity and the end of our relationship is effective immediately,” said Tongue Tied Management. in a report.

“Terminal of this contract is an essential step to preserve the integrity of our agency.”

Last month, Morgan returned to his role at the club after a three-month investigation into his conduct following the death of Sheffield player Maddy Cusack, which found no evidence of wrongdoing.

Morgan was blamed by Cusack's family for her deteriorating mental health before she died on September 20 at the age of 27. Derbyshire Police did not treat the defender's death as suspicious.

On 25 January, the FA opened an investigation into the circumstances of Cusack's death.

“Luke Turner has agreed to take on the role of interim head coach for the near future, including Sunday's Championship match at Durham Women,” Sheffield United added.
