First Look: Tata Curvv Revealed at Bharat Mobility Expo Preceding Its Official Launch،

At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Delhi, Tata officially unveiled the production-ready version of its upcoming SUV, the Tata Curvv. After first showing the Curvv concept last year, the Indian automaker has been actively conducting testing, with numerous camouflaged prototypes spotted in various online videos. Today, the curtain rose on an almost finalized version of the Tata Curvv, giving a glimpse of the exterior design of the SUV.

Tata Curvv SUV launched

Bunny Punia, through his YouTube channel, shared a video offering a glimpse of the Tata Curvv SUV in its almost finalized production form. The video takes a look at the SUV's design, echoing the distinctive coupe-like rear that initially attracted attention when Tata unveiled the Curvv concept.

It is worth noting the continuity of this unique stylistic feature in the production version. Looking at the front fascia shown in the video, the similarities with the recently launched Tata Harrier and Safari are evident. The LED connector bar and dual-function LED DRLs at each end, combined with a gloss black grille featuring lower vents and a silver foil finish, contribute to the Curvv's captivating aesthetic.

Tata Curvv Design and Features

The Tata Curvv has some distinctive features in its exterior design, as highlighted in Bunny Punia's YouTube video. On the bumper are headlights, accompanied by a lower air intake that has a silver foil finish. The front end exudes a rugged appeal with a faux skid plate, complemented by gloss black elements surrounding the wheel arch and side step.

Expected to offer advanced features, the Curvv could include a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors and possibly ADAS, aligning with the technology offerings of the Harrier and Safari models. On the side profile, the video reveals the SUV's defining elements, including a coupe-like sloping roof and flush door handles equipped with demand sensors. The 18-inch alloy wheels feature a unique design, different from previous Tata models. This attention to detail positions the Tata Curvv as a promising addition to the brand's lineup.

Moving to the rear of the Tata Curvv, the design takes on a more refined and sophisticated appearance. A connected light bar runs across the rear, meeting the sleek boomerang-shaped LED taillights perfectly. Reflectors and reversing lights are strategically placed on the bumper, a design feature reminiscent of the Nexon. The rear is adorned with a Curvv badge on the tailgate, while a shark fin antenna, a roof-mounted spoiler and a panoramic sunroof add to the overall look of the SUV.

Although the interior details are not clearly visible in the video, glimpses reveal Tata's new floating-style infotainment system on the dashboard, complemented by brown-colored leather upholstery. In terms of dimensions, the Tata Curvv measures 4,308 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width and 1,630 mm in height. With a wheelbase of 2,560 mm, the SUV offers a spacious interior and the boot is said to be a generous 422 liters.

Powertrain

The production-ready version of the Curvv shown in the video is specifically the diesel variant. Tata's strategy is to introduce the electric version of the Curvv in the market first, followed by the internal combustion engine (ICE) variant. The diesel variant shown in the video is equipped with a 1.5 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, delivering a power of 115 hp and a maximum torque of 260 Nm. This diesel variant will be associated with a manual gearbox, meeting the various SUV market preferences.
