Knicks’ Julius Randle out 2-3 weeks with dislocated shoulder،
The New York Knicks announced Thursday that star forward Julius Randle will be re-evaluated in two to three weeks due to the dislocated right shoulder he suffered during Saturday's win over the Miami Heat .
This timetable means that Randle, who left the game late in the fourth quarter after injuring his shoulder when Heat rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. took over, will be re-evaluated either at the start of the All- Star Break for the Knicks, who play their last game before this one on February 14 in Orlando against the Magic, or at the start of New York's post-All-Star schedule, which begins in Philadelphia on February 22.
Randle, who is averaging 24 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5 assists, could be selected for his third All-Star Game later Thursday when the reserves for the Eastern and Western Conference teams are announced.
If Randle is selected — alongside teammate Jalen Brunson, who is expected to make his first All-Star appearance after narrowly missing out on the starting role to Damian Lillard last week — NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will select his replacement.
New York enters Thursday night's home game against the Indiana Pacers having had the franchise's best month in 30 years, going 14-2 in January to skyrocket up the Eastern Conference standings and move into a Milwaukee Bucks game for second place in the conference.
OGs Anunoby (elbow) and Quentin Grimes (knee) are both questionable for Thursday's game.
