According to The edge, Hulu is taking steps to crack down on password sharing, signaling a change that could affect friends, family and freeloaders using its streaming service. The company has updated its terms of service, prohibiting the sharing of passwords beyond “your primary personal residence“Subscribers have been informed that they must comply with the new conditions by March 14, 2024.

Hulu's revised subscription agreement now includes a clear stance on password sharing: “Unless otherwise permitted by your service level, you may not share your subscription outside of your household. “Home” means all of the devices associated with your primary personal residence that are used by the people who reside there.»

Additionally, Hulu already notifies its subscribers of changes via email notifications, as users reported on Reddit.
