We took to the streets to put the Galaxy S24 Ultra put the camera to the test, particularly its zoom capabilities, and were pleasantly surprised by the results.
Samsung says the new ProVisual Engine – a fancy name for Samsung's suite of AI-powered camera tools – combined with its higher resolution sensor, significantly improves image quality at any range. . We accepted the challenge and shot the same scene in 1X, 5X and 10X, as shown in the sample gallery below.

During testing, it became clear that the camera of the Galaxy S24 Ultra delivers truly remarkable results, especially when using its 5X zoom focal length.
Images are incredibly sharp and clear, which unfortunately might not be fully appreciated here after image compression.
However, it's remarkable how Samsung's new color tuning solution plays a role in exhibiting excellent color reproduction and capturing even the finest details. The camera performs impressively in low light conditions, producing high-quality photos with minimal noise.
There were some occasional problems, but they were the exception rather than the rule.
There were some rare incidents with longer zoom
For example, in the photo above you can see excessive sharpening and weird processing in the image at 10X zoom.
Nightography improvements
Besides the new zoom lens, one feature that Samsung was proudly talking about was “Nightography”, promising greater image clarity in all lighting conditions, even zooming up to 5X magnification.
