iPhone users should be drooling over these game-changing Galaxy S24 Ultra features،

The Galaxy S24 series is out and while it's safe to say that Samsung took inspiration from the iPhone 14/15 Pro when creating its latest flagships, I also have to say that this year there has quite a few Galaxy S24 features that Apple could consider stealing from Samsung for the next iPhone 16 Pro! So I've selected a few to share with you… It's also worth pointing out that not only Apple, but almost every other phone maker can take note of the Galaxy S24's best new features.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say that some of them should be on every new flagship phone in 2024 because they're so good, and maybe even… game-changing.

We'll take a look…

The Galaxy S24 Ultra's revolutionary anti-glare glass makes my iPhone 15 Pro and Pixel 8 Pro hard to look at – literally

I'd like to start with a feature that Samsung glossed over when revealing the Galaxy S24 series on stage, but this is by far the Galaxy S24 Ultra's most impressive upgrade – the new Corning Gorilla Glass Armor. Corning's latest and greatest drink (for now) exclusive to Galaxy S24 Ultra promises to be tougher than ever and all that jazz we hear every year except, this time, it also benefits from a new type of anti-reflective coating, and let me tell you… it's not a gimmick marketing or a gimmick!

While the display on the Galaxy S24 Ultra isn't necessarily brighter than other screens on the market, the new Magic Anti-Glare Coating actually makes it easier to view outdoors and whenever there are light reflections around you (basically any time you are inside). As you can see from the images, the differences when comparing the S24 Ultra's screen to other flagship phones like the iPhone 15 Pro and Pixel 8 Pro are pretty obvious.

Quality of life improvements of this type are rare on phones these days, simply because smartphones are about to reach their peak. So it's great to see that Corning is able to take a big step forward and make a difference with such a simple yet effective upgrade to its glass formulation.

It's also fascinating to see how a simple solution can be the key to solving a real-world problem, while making very bright screens less impressive. For example, the OnePlus 12 claims to be able to achieve 4,000 nits of peak brightness on HDR, but that might be less relevant if 2,600 nits on HDR. Galaxy S24 Ultra more beautiful and brighter thanks to the much less reflective screen. We will have to test this and get back to you.

The useful and potentially game-changing features of the Galaxy S24 make my iPhone 15 Pro look pretty “dumb” – Apple should take note and make the iPhone smarter!

The other area where Samsung (together with Google) has overdelivered is in AI and software support. To start, the Galaxy S24 Ultra now promises a total of 7 years of OS updates, and while iPhone users (who get 5-6 major iOS updates) have nothing to be jealous of, I'd say that the fact that Samsung has made an official commitment is what I (as an iPhone user) would like to see from Apple. Tim Cook & Co famously never promise how many years of support to expect when buying a new iPhone, and while it's far from a problem, letting people know What to Expect would make it easier to estimate the potential lifespan of your device and make selling/buying used/refurbished iPhones a little easier and simpler.

But the real software treats/threats in the Galaxy S24 The series comes in the form of AI features. Sure, you can argue that Samsung borrowed Google's entire AI algorithm and slapped the Galaxy brand on it, but does it matter? The fact is that the Galaxy S24 is probably the smartest phone money can buy right now, and Apple needs to catch up to Samsung (and Google) as soon as possible.

I would categorize the Galaxy S24's new AI features into two categories: “interesting” and “potentially super useful.” Photo editing features like the ability to use generative AI to erase and replace parts of your image, and Circle to search are nice to have, but I'm more excited about the Galaxy S24's ability to automatically translate my images. WhatsApp texts from one language to another. and translate calls live. I would love to see this on my iPhone.

More Galaxy S24 features that should make iPhone 15 users jealous – Apple should bring them to the iPhone 16

  • Another (literal) domain of Galaxy S24 One phone series that the iPhone may be jealous of is the cooling zone of Samsung's new flagships. According to Samsung, the S24 has a vapor chamber 1.5 times larger than that of the S23; the S24+ has a VC 1.6 times larger than the S23+, and the S24 Ultra has a VC 1.9 times larger than the S23 Ultra (Sammobile). iPhones are notorious for having poor or non-existent active cooling solutions, which is known to cause Apple's otherwise class-leading chips to throttle, leading to performance issues and overheating.

  • A 50MP high-resolution 5x zoom periscope camera is another notable upgrade to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, allowing Samsung's high-end flagship to crop to the middle of the sensor, achieving lossless 10x quality zoom for photos. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 12MP 5x camera, which backs it up with 10x zoom. No doubt, Apple will indeed add a higher resolution zoom camera to the iPhone eventually, but I suspect they'll wait (strategically) to do so with the iPhone 17 Pro – since the iPhone16 Pro is already expected to upgrade from a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor to a 48 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor (along with a new, larger 48 MP main sensor).

  • Another area (which we don't talk about enough) where the new Galaxy S24 what phones excel over the iPhone 15 series are the colors. Although the main color selection for the S24 series is rather boring and in fact almost identical to that of the iPhone14/15, Samsung offers exclusive color variants through its website. This year my favorite is the Tangerine Titanium Galaxy S24 Ultra – not quite the desired shade of orange for a phone but nonetheless… orange (#GiveMeAnOrangeiPhone)

  • Last but not least, reverse wireless charging is very present in this year's S24 series, and very absent from the S24 series. iPhone15 series. While I'm generally a fan of consistency, I would love for Apple to break the cycle and bring RWC to the forefront. iPhone16which would allow me to charge my AirPods on the back of my iPhone (whenever I don't have access to a cable/charger and my AirPods are dead)

Next-gen Galaxy S24 Ultra's glass/display, potentially game-changing AI features, and attention to detail challenge iPhone 15 and iPhone 16: Will Apple respond accordingly?

Finally, I'd like to conclude with a slightly more different perspective on the most impressive new features of the Galaxy S24 series. It's up to you to decide how much credit to give Samsung on the most impressive new features in the Galaxy S24 series, but I should point out that the Gorilla Glass Armor, which makes the S24 Ultra's screen much easier to view, is indeed courtesy of Corning and will likely appear in many Android flagships coming out in 2024 (and beyond). of the).

However, Corning's decision to launch this special glass with the S24 Ultra clearly shows that the company favors the most influential Android phone maker, and that's… fair enough.

Moving on, many AI features on the Galaxy S24 The series are powered by the same algorithms found in the Pixel 8 Pro, thanks to the strong partnership between Samsung and Google. Once again, the Galaxy S24 phones have exclusive access to these features, meaning no other Android phones (other than the Pixel 8) benefit from them – at least for now.

One thing is for sure: as an iPhone user, I am impressed and jealous of the Galaxy features mentioned above, and I would love to see them in the market. iPhone16. In fact, I feel like this might be the first time in years that a new Samsung flagship has left me with a positive first impression. But don't be fooled! THE Galaxy S24 The series is far from perfect, and we'll talk about some of the weird drawbacks of Samsung's new flagships in an upcoming story.
