Man United’s Ten Hag will ‘deal with’ Rashford after night out،

Marcus Rashford faces the wrath of Erik ten Hag after the Manchester United manager said he would 'take care of' the England striker, amid confusion over schedule for Belfast party this week last.

Rashford was absent from United's squad for the 4-2 win over Newport County in the FA Cup on Sunday.

The 26-year-old called in sick on Friday and was unable to train with the team that day or Saturday.

Although he was not well enough to make the trip to Newport, he was able to train at Carrington on Sunday.

United were informed of a trip to a Belfast nightclub that Rashford made on Wednesday, ahead of a planned day off on Thursday.

However, later media reports indicated that he was also absent on Thursday evening, hours before arriving for training in Manchester.

Before the match against Newport, Ten Hag refused to answer a question about whether Rashford had been excluded from the match as punishment and then said only that the incident was being treated as “an internal matter”.

“He called in sick,” Ten Hag said. “As for the rest, it's an internal matter. I'll take care of it. Like I said, it's an internal matter.”

This is not the first time Ten Hag has been frustrated by Rashford's behavior, saying in November that the striker's decision to throw a birthday party in Manchester after the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City was ” unacceptable”.

Rashford was also ruled out for a game against Wolves last season after arriving late for a team meeting.

He scored 30 goals last season and was rewarded with a new long-term contract in the summer, but he has struggled to find form this season, scoring four times in 26 appearances.

After a particularly poor performance in the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle in December, Rashford was dropped to the bench by Ten Hag for the next two games against Chelsea and Bournemouth.
