Google Meet update brings closed captions for over 30 languages

Subtitles and translated captions are very useful features for Google Meet users. With the ability to display captions while everyone is speaking in a meeting, any language barriers are removed and communications are more accessible.

Google Meet offers captions on web, Android, and iOS, but the feature must be enabled to work after joining a meeting. From now on, Closed caption support expands into no less than 31 additional languages.

Some of the newly supported languages ​​will initially appear with a “beta” tag, indicating that Google is continuing to optimize support for specific languages ​​available for closed captioning.
