Union Berlin coach sent off for striking Leroy Sané in face،

Raphaël Guerreiro scored the only goal of the game in Bayern Munich's 1-0 win over Union Berlin, whose coach was sent off for hitting Bayern striker Leroy Sané.

Nenad Bjelica received a red card in the 74th minute for pushing Sané in the face twice after the winger asked him for the ball to take a throw-in. The incident occurred as several Union players were indignant at having seen their penalty appeal rejected shortly before.

“What I did must not be tolerated,” Bjelica told German broadcaster Sky Sport. “Do I understand the red card? Obviously. I was a little excited because of the penalty episode that happened.”

Bjelica claimed that Sané pushed him during the incident.

“He comes into my space to provoke me and obviously I don’t react the way I should as a coach,” Bjelica said.

Bjelica could face a long suspension. His team will next be in action on Sunday against fellow relegation candidate Darmstadt.

Bayern's victory leaves the German champions four points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
