Transfer Talk: Madrid will let Vinicius go if they get Mbappé،

The winter transfer window is now open in Europe, and there are plenty of moves being made and plenty of gossip swirling. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumors, comings and goings and, of course, done deals!

TOP STORY: Madrid will let Vini Jr. leave if they sign Mbappé

Real Madrid will leave Vinicius Junior if they sign the Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappéaccording to Sport.

The La Liga side have reportedly “already decided” to offload the 23-year-old if they can secure a deal for the France international, with club president Florentino Perez still focused on his move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Having completed a midfield rebuild with the acquisition of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund last summer, they now want to attract a global star to the forward line, and it is believed that moving Vinicius would help seal a deal for Mbappe.

ESPN sources revealed earlier this month that he plans to decide his future in the coming weeks, but he has not decided whether to activate the one-year extension clause in his current contract .

He is currently able to discuss terms with clubs outside Ligue 1 over a pre-contract agreement, although few teams can match his current salary of €650,000 per week ($707,000) .

Vinicius, who has scored five goals in 12 La Liga matches this season, is therefore considering a potential exit. The Whites look to sign Mbappe this summer.

Paper gossip

– Chelsea interested in Aston Villa striker John Duran, reports the Telegraph. The 20-year-old is understood to be under 'close scrutiny' from the Stamford Bridge hierarchy, but any decision could hinge on whether the striker Armando Broja, who is on the radar of Premier League clubs, leaves the club before the January transfer window closes. Duran joined the Villans from the Chicago Fire in 2023 and he has scored two goals in 14 substitute appearances this season.

– Genk right-back Daniel Munoz has gone on strike to try to secure a move to Crystal Palace, the Evening Standard reports. A deal is yet to be agreed for the 27-year-old, with the Belgian Pro League club looking to secure a fee of £8.6million to part ways with him. The Eagles are keen to sign a right-back, with Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne both out of contract this summer.

– Several clubs are interested in signing the Everton defender Ben Godfrey, reports Fabrizio Romano. Genoa are one of the teams reportedly considering a move for the 26-year-old, who has made just one Premier League start for manager Sean Dyche this season. Discussions would take place on an agreement which could take place before the end of the transfer window.

– Internazionale close to signing FC Porto striker Mehdi Taremi, reports Calciomercato. A meeting took place between the Serie A club and the 31-year-old's agents on Wednesday, and he is believed to have agreed a three-year deal at the San Siro, with just the final details to be finalized before he can be announced as a Nerazzurri player.

– Two Premier League teams are interested in the Ajax striker Carlos Forbes, reports Sky Sports. Burnley and Nottingham Forest are reportedly keen to sign the 19-year-old, with talks currently underway over a loan deal which will include a permanent option. He is said to be likely to join the team that can guarantee him the most first-team football.
