Are you excited about Google's upcoming Pixel 8a mid-ranger and Pixel 9 Pro flagships, now that you know what the two unannounced Android phones will look like? Unfortunately (and unsurprisingly), these next-gen handsets aren't exactly around the corner, unlike a new version of the “old” Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.

We're talking about these “Minty Fresh” models officially teased last week and meanwhile confirmed for a Commercial release January 25 at 9:00 a.m. EST. Even though Big G has already made it clear what the fuss is about here, essentially revealing the exact shade of “menthol” green it contains. best phones at the moment they should be finished from tomorrow, it's really nice to see the Pixel 8 Pro actually sporting this shade in a high quality rendering (slightly) in advance.
The image intended for the press comes from none other than Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) on X (aka Twitter), as chic as expected. In the humble opinion of this author, the green color of Google Pixel 8 Pro is significantly more eye-catching than Samsung's “jade green” Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus and even the “titanium green” Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so you'll all have to decide for yourselves whether you prefer this version of the Pixel 8 Pro (and the not shown Pixel 8) compared to the competition, as well as other existing colors of Google's latest high-end handsets.

These include Obsidian, Hazel and Rose for the smaller 6.2-inch device and Obsidian, Porcelain and Bay for the 6.7-inch Pro. Naturally, we don't expect this new coat of paint to bring any internal changes to the system. Pixel 8 Or Pixel 8 Prowhich also means that no price difference is to be expected.

But one major thing that will be different is availability, with sales of “Minty Fresh” reportedly limited to the search giant's official Google Store and mobile network operator Google Fi. Unfortunately, the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are no longer sold at substantial discounts by their manufacturers in the United States in any color option, although we expect the best deals from the last few months to return relatively soon and cover the new shades as well .
