Gmail might soon simplify email drafting with AI assistance،

Last year, Google announced a new “Help Me Write” feature for its Gmail app, bringing a bit of AI magic to help you write emails easily. And guess what? It seems the tech giant isn't done spicing things up.

According to LeSpAndroid (via Android Authority), an upcoming option on the “Help me write” feature will allow you to use your voice to compose an email or to tell the AI what to write. You'll just need to say the prompt and Gmail's AI will write this email for you.

Now you might be thinking, “Hey, I can already write with my voice,” but this new feature is different. Instead of dictating the text, the AI takes your message and writes the email for you.

When you start typing or replying to a new email, the voice typing setup appears with a large mic button. Tap it, start speaking, and your prompt will appear above the record button. Click “Create” when you're done, and voila: Gmail creates an email for you using its AI. If you decide to forgo recording, don't worry: there's a “Draft Email with Voice” button at the bottom left of the email.

As for when this new option will be added to the Gmail app, it is still unclear. There's a good chance this will hit Workspace Labs users first before hitting the general public. Currently, the “Help me write” feature is available in Workspace Labs. Workspace Labs is a program that allows Google to test new features with a small group of users before rolling them out to everyone.
