Airtel and Vi Amp Up Network Infrastructure for Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir Event،

Ahead of the upcoming inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya today, Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) have revealed significant improvements to their network connectivity in the city. Telecom giants have strengthened their infrastructure to ensure complete coverage of vital locations including the airport, railway station, bus stops, important monuments, hotels and various other key locations in Ayodhya.

Ahead of the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) have been enhancing their network capacity in the city.

Airtel network overhaul in Ayodhya

Airtel has taken proactive steps by deploying additional network sites, implementing mobile cells on wheels and laying fiber optic cables to ensure comprehensive coverage across the city. This strategic initiative aims to prevent any interruption of voice and data services during the crucial period surrounding the inauguration of the Mandir. Notably, Airtel has installed additional sites and BTS (Base Transceiver Station) to extend coverage to the Mandir and its adjacent areas.

Airtel Fiber has been strategically implemented to provide high-speed data coverage in specific areas. The telecom network has introduced Cell on Wheels (CoW) units at key locations such as Ayodhya Dham, Ayodhya Cantt, Ram Bhadra, Brahmakund, Guptar Ghat, Parikrama Marg, Expressway, Airport, Katra Railway Station, the bus stop and Ramprasth Park. In addition to technological improvements, Airtel has strengthened its workforce, including its network engineers, to ensure uninterrupted service across Ayodhya, ensuring stability during periods of increased demand.

Vi preparation for the inauguration of Ram Mandir

Vi has made significant progress in its network infrastructure, undertaking upgrades in various key areas across the city of Ayodhya. This initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), the government and local authorities, including the Ayodhya Development Authority, the Public Works Department, the Airport Authority and the police, facilitated the approvals accelerated tower placement and streamlined the movement of material and labor.

In its efforts to improve network capabilities, Vi has strengthened its coverage, expanded its capacity and improved its backhaul connectivity. This comprehensive approach involves scaling up the network across different spectrum bands. Vi's initiative includes adding new sites and improving or repurposing L2100 spectrum capacity in strategic locations such as Ayodhya Railway Station, Ram Mandir Campus, Airport, Railway Station and highways connecting Lucknow and Varanasi. These improvements aim to provide residents and visitors with enhanced connectivity, ensuring a seamless communication experience across Ayodhya.
