Samsung recently launched its Exynos 2400 chipset with the flagship Galaxy S24 series. The chipset performed well in various comparative tests, making it one of the fastest and most efficient in the segment. However, it seems that the brand is in no mood to rest as Samsung has already started intensive work on the upcoming Exynos 2500 SoC. The Samsung Exynos 2500 is expected to debut in 2025 and is considered the “dream chip » of the company. Some of its key features have recently surfaced online.

Exynos 2500 Chipset: Features

The Exynos 2500 SoC is said to have the same 10-core CPU cluster configuration as the Exynos 2400. Samsung will introduce the Cortex X5 which will take the performance up a notch as it is expected to come with various upgrades over the Cortex X4. Reports claim that there will be no change in the Cortex X core count as the aim is to avoid excessive power consumption in an energy-conscious world.

The Exynos 2500 will also feature an updated Cortex-A730 with the existing Cortex-A520 core. The clock speed would be around 3.20 GHz to 3.30 GHz, which means a difference of 100 MHz compared to the predecessor. This change may seem small but will have a noticeable effect in terms of processing power.

The most important development of the Exynos 2500 is its production using Samsung's cutting-edge 3nm GAA process. This will be a huge improvement over the 4LPP+ node used for Exynos 2400. As expected, this will be the first time this process will be used for a smartphone chipset. This will further strengthen Samsung's position in the flagship chipset market.

Samsung's upcoming chipset, Exynos 2500, could be a game changer as it will feature the Cortex X5, an improved Cortex A730, and will be manufactured using a 3nm GAA process. With this SoC, Samsung will push the boundaries and inspire other chipmakers to up their game.
