TMobileThe 5G Standalone (SA) network, with a 5G core, features an aggregation of four operators that combine multiple 5G channels (called carriers) to increase the capacity of traffic that can flow across the channels, resulting in speeds of faster data. T-Mobile compares it to “take four separate highways and turn them into one huge highway where traffic can zoom faster than before.” The SA 5G network will soon include uplink carrier aggregation (UL) for faster uplink data speeds.

With uplink (UL) carrier aggregation, the Galaxy S24 series, which includes the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and the Galaxy S24 Ultra will deliver uplink data speeds up to 90% faster than the Galaxy S23 series uplink speeds. Video downloads on the new flagship series are almost twice as fast as on previous models.
