The S24’s Galaxy AI features are actually hyping me up for the Pixel 9. Here’s why،

You should power, because that's when the Pixel line found its identity. From the nature-inspired color variations to the unique aesthetic of the visor for the camera bump, to the multitude of AI-inspired features: this is the essence of the identify.

And now Google has ceded much of that last bit to Samsung for its Galaxy S24 series of phones in the form of Galaxy AI, so what gives?!

Is Samsung just playing catch-up?

Back when 2023 hadn't yet arrived, AI still existed and many phones used it. It wasn't all about AI, sometimes it was just smart, clever programming, but still: the algorithms were doing their job in the background to help you get the most out of your technology.

I mean, typing on an iPhone has always felt good and appropriate and it's always been about intelligent programs making accurate guesses, so there you go.

But then, in 2023, ChatGPT exploded and it suddenly became important to commercialize features like AI where appropriate. Therefore, Google has spent a lot of time promoting the Pixel 8 line of phones through AI features, related to camera capabilities or otherwise.

Oh, and from Pixel 8 in the future, Google offers a huge seven years software support and security updates. This will become important a little later.

And a few months later, this small company from Cupertino that you may have heard of introduced this banger of a smartphone called iPhone 15 Pro Max, which had a titanium body. Well, sort of, it was more titanium coated, but it makes a great banner, doesn't it? And, obviously, when you have that, you market it hard.

So, a few more months and we're in 2024. The time has come for the introduction of the year's first, and perhaps most impactful, flagship Android smartphone, and it's made by Samsung: a manufacturer with years and years of experience in the industry.

And he introduces the Galaxy S24, which has a titanium variant and then a bunch of AI features scattered throughout the series. Oh, and the phones come with seven years of OS upgrades and security updates. Looks familiar?

Eh.

I mean, it's cool, it's even great! #No hate

And honestly, I didn't know what I expected. But it was “more”. And not just from Samsung: from Google too. Because while I completely understand why Samsung would want to jump on the AI bandwagon, I can't understand at all why Google would offer a huge part of the Pixel's identity compared to one of its biggest competitors?

Was this Google's plan all along?!

But that doesn't change the reality: Google has already hired the people, imagined the projects, built them, tested them, implemented them, made them work on a series of phones, but none of them 'broke the bank, and then made them go public. Oh, and then the marketing happened too, and I heard it was a pretty expensive affair.

Not to mention that the Pixel 8 The line already offers an exceptional support lifecycle, which means Google isn't really counting on you upgrading every two years.

So, given the ultimate words of wisdom “money is good,” I must ask: “income Or» ?

Well, if the Big G spent all that time – and effort and money – developing features meant to elevate the Pixel line, why would it abandon them… Unless this could all be part of a plan that still aims to achieve this goal exact same thing?

Because here's the deal: if you're in need of a killer feature for your product and I'm giving you one of the mineknowing fully that I have something better to ultimately reveal, I essentially guarantee myself a certain degree of success.

Galaxy AI: a discreet ad for the Pixel 9, sponsored by Samsung

So, if I'm Google and I bring you some of the most notable features of my phone line, such as:

  • The power to remove items from your photos
  • The ability to move subjects within the frame
  • Want to remove reflections? You can
  • Photo blur, to add a nice bokeh to your photo
  • Straighten a plane, then use generative fill
  • Automatic suggestions for overall photo improvement
  • Transcription and speaker labels for audio recorder

Fully knowing that I risk losing the identity of my own flagship phone series, so I must I have something of an ace up my sleeve, don't I?

And this is where my crazy conspiracy theory comes in: I am excited about the Pixel 9 now. Because since all these features are no longer exclusive to Pixel, can you imagine what Google could have in store for its next line of phones?

The Pixel 9: an AI powerhouse (hopefully in blue)

Now, I won't pretend to have any idea what the Pixel 9 will be like. I don't think Google is considering another redesign, because that would seem too soon.

Thanks to the efforts of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 8surface-level details such as form factor, overall design and screen specifications have been tweaked, I think the focus will be on the interior.

And obviously: AI is always the trend.

At bare minimum, I think it would be fair to expect Google to equip Pixel users with supercharged versions of the features mentioned above. But from there? There are no limits, especially if Bard gets the green light to go out and play.

At the same time, it's been almost a year since AI has been making waves in technology and it already feels like we're at a tipping point. stagnation. Characteristics? About the same. Limits ? Forced and difficult to play (for good reason). It will therefore take real creativity and technical prowess to figure out how to make the most of this situation.

And you know what? I think Google might be just the company, capable of achieving such a thing.

… And When It's happening, I just hope there's a good one variant in suitable bluebecause I am honestly fatigue of these soft and loose colors.
