Want to find a song by humming it? YouTube has your back as it’s rolling out dozens of new features،

YouTube offers its users a host of new features and design tweaks. Following last year’s redesign for a better user experience, the platform now introduces more than three dozen new updates, including better audio control on mobile devices, easier control of playback speeds, search by voice or song, an all-new You tab, and much more. The first is “steady volume,” an automatic feature that evens out volume fluctuations for a more consistent experience. No more jarring changes that disrupt your flow.

For those who like to quickly browse videos, there is “Tap for 2x”. Simply tap and hold anywhere on the player, and voilà, your playback speed doubles. Once you get to the part of the video you want, just let go. A practical tip for those in a hurry, available on the web, tablets and mobile devices.

YouTube is also introducing larger preview thumbnails, making it easier to navigate when searching. No need to worry if you change your mind mid-search; a simple elevator from your starting point takes you right back to where you left off.

Have you ever wished that your screen wouldn’t lock during crucial moments? Now you can lock your screen on mobile and tablet, avoiding those annoying interruptions. A successful experiment we talked about a while ago has turned into a feature we can all benefit from.

The updates don’t stop there, as you can now say goodbye to the Library tab. It merges with the account page into a new home page called the You tab. All your watched videos, playlists, downloads, purchases, account settings and channel information in one place. Already deployed, the You tab sits where the Library tab sits on web, mobile, and tablet.

There are more, and probably one that will relieve a lot of stress for users who often can’t remember a certain song (I know I’ll enjoy this new feature). The new search feature by voice or song uses AI to match audio to the original recording. So if you don’t remember a song, hum it. This feature will arrive in the coming weeks for Android users.

For avid YouTube fans, there’s also a treat. Animations add style to your visual experience. When creators prompt you to “like” or “subscribe,” watch for visual cues on these buttons in sync with the video. Press this button and enjoy a subtle explosion of playful sparkles.

Top Comments now rotate automatically so you can analyze the best comments from the community. And, for new video uploads, YouTube now includes a new animation. It dynamically updates the number of views and likes in real time for the first 24 hours, giving a live display of the number of users engaging with the content.
