McLaren reveals car livery for 2024 F1 season،

McLaren has given a first glimpse of what Formula 1 will look like in 2024 by revealing its livery for the coming season, faithful to its look of recent years.

The British team added more of the papaya orange hue, synonymous with founder Bruce McLaren's early racing cars, around the engine cover.

Company CEO Zak Brown, who brought McLaren back to papaya colors after taking over the business in 2016, said fan feedback on last year's car had been significant.

“I think the car looks spectacular, it's in response to the feedback we get from our fans. Obviously the papaya is very important to us so we want to make sure we're distinctive, so when you see our car, you know it’s a McLaren,” he said.

McLaren's new look was revealed without fanfare on Tuesday, in a simple social media announcement, and featured the color scheme of an old car – cars finalized for 2024 are unlikely to be seen before testing pre-season in Bahrain at the end of February.

Most of McLaren's competitors are expected to launch their own liveries and cars in the first two weeks of February. McLaren hopes the 2024 livery will be on a car that continues the upward trajectory of its predecessor.

After a slow start, a significant mid-season improvement propelled McLaren up the table and saw them emerge as the second or third fastest team behind Red Bull for most of the remaining races.

Drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, both widely tipped to become future world champions, are teammates for a second consecutive year.

Norris will be in his sixth season with the team and is searching for an elusive first race victory.

Piastri impressed as a rookie last year, winning the Qatar Grand Prix sprint, and will look to take further steps forward as a second-year F1 student.

Images released on Tuesday show an old car's new color scheme – most teams won't reveal their real challengers for 2024 until pre-season testing in Bahrain at the end of February.

The McLaren livery has unofficially kicked off F1's 'launch season', during which teams unveil the new looks they will wear for the new year.

Two notable rival launches stand out this year: Sauber will officially launch its new era with Stake, after four years of racing as Alfa Romeo, while junior team Red Bull AlphaTauri is set to be renamed ahead of the new season.
