Apple Pencil (USB-C) Arrives For Rs. 11,900: Here’s How It Compares To Other Models،

On Tuesday, October 17, Cupertino-based tech giant Apple launched a new Apple Pencil. However, the company doesn’t call it “Apple Pencil (3rd generation).” Instead, the stylus is called Apple Pencil (USB-C). With the new model, the company now offers users three options when purchasing a new iPad. However, does it have any new features? Is it better than the previous generation of the device? Here’s everything you need to know about the new Apple Pencil (USB-C).

Apple Pencil (USB-C) design and compatibility

The latest Apple Pencil features a matte finish and a flat design, similar to the Apple Pencil (2nd generation). Additionally, the input device now has a USB-C port for charging and pairing with the iPad (cable not included in the box).

The port is hidden under a sliding cap on the end of the pencil. Plus, it works with all iPads with a USB-C port, including iPad (10th generation), iPad Air (4th generation and later), 11-inch iPad Pro, iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later) and iPad mini (6th generation).

Features of Apple Pencil (USB-C)

Apple mentions in the press release that the new Apple Pencil (USB-C) offers pixel-perfect precision, low latency, and tile sensitivity. With these features, users can take notes, draw, annotate documents, keep a journal, or scribble something in the Notes app. With the M2 models of iPad Pro, Apple Pencil (USB-C) also supports hover, a feature that lets users know exactly where the pen tip is above the screen, making it easier as well as the detailed illustrations.

It also magnetically sticks to the side of an iPad for storage, but unlike the Apple Pencil (2nd generation), it doesn’t charge simultaneously. Users need to connect the stylus using a USB-C to USB-C cable with a compatible device to charge it.

Compared to the other two Apple Pencils, the new model lacks a few features, putting it between the other two. For example, the Apple Pencil (USB-C) does not support pressure sensitivity. Additionally, it doesn’t support wireless pairing and charging, a feature limited to the second-generation high-end stylus. Last but not least, the model does not have the double-tap gesture.

Apple Pencil (USB-C) price

The new Apple Pencil (USB-C) will be available in the United States for $79 starting in early November. The model will cost Rs. 7,900 in India, while the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) costs Rs. 7,900. 11,900.
