The Consumer Electronics Show 2024 is currently taking place in Las Vegas. It is a 4 day event which takes place from 9th from January 12th January 2024, during which technology brands from around the world showcase various exciting and innovative products and inventions. Although tomorrow is officially the last day of CES, the majority of launches have already occurred within the first 2 days.

In this article, we've rounded up some of the most exciting announcements happening at CES 2024.

1. TVs at CES 2024 (transparent and non-transparent)

LG and Samsung have revealed their transparent TVs. LG announced the very first transparent television which he has been teasing for several years. This is a 77-inch T-Transparent OLED TV that is also wireless.

Samsung also launched its transparent screen, but for the moment it is more of a concept than a product.

Other non-transparent TVs have been released by brands like TCL, LG and Samsung, some of which also feature AI. TCL has launched the QM891G, the largest Mini LED TV ever. Hisense has launched the 110UX, which is not the biggest but surely the brightest LED TV. It can reach a maximum brightness of 10,000 nits. LG also announced CineBeam Qube, a 4K home theater projector. Samsung's Premiere 8K is not only a laser projector, but it's wireless and comes with a 100W speaker setup.

2. New CPUs, GPUs and Chipsets

Nvidia announced its Super line of GeForce RTX 40 Super Series GPUs. It includes the following models-

  • GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER
  • GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
  • GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER

AMD announced the next generation of CPUs and GPUs. It also includes Ryzen 800G series desktop processors and Ryezen 5000 series processors. The chipmaker also introduced the Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU which will be available starting January 24.

Intel also revealed its next-generation processor family at CES 2024. The 14th generation processor family, namely the HX series chips, will deliver even faster and more efficient performance. It includes Core i9-14900HX laptop chip, Core i7-14700HX chip, Intel Core 7 150U chip and Core 5 120U chipsets. Click here to know more.

3. New laptops

Laptops for 2024 have been announced by brands like Asus, HP, Dell, LG, MSI and Lenovo.

4. AI-related ads

AI is the future and the same could be seen at CES 2024, as artificial intelligence was part of every brand's innovation list.

  • Lenovo's Magic Bay robot lets you install a webcam or light via pogo pins on the top of one of its laptops. He changes facial expressions when he looks at you from above the screen.
  • Rabbit R1 is a $199 device that simplifies tasks done on a smartphone. These include ordering food, booking tickets, streaming music, and more.
  • Samsung presented its Ballie AI Robot which is an updated personal assistant with a new design, built-in projector and AI features. The robot can act as your pet and walk with you when needed. The brand will also use AI to upgrade SD content to 8K resolution on TVs.
  • Volkswagen ID7 car benefits from ChatGPT integration.
  • Microsoft laptops get a dedicated AI key that will help summarize documents, create images, and crawl the web for specific information.
  • Motion Pillow will use AI to help solve snoring problems and get a good night's sleep. It tracks sleep data and sleep duration, and even records snoring to read back later.
  • Bmind Smart Mirror is the world's first AI-powered smart mirror that supports mental well-being through light therapy sessions, guided meditation and self-affirmations based on one's mental state.
  • Sony drove their car on stage using a PS5 controller that was fun to look at and gave a glimpse of the future.
  • The XReal Air 2 Ultra AR glasses are priced at $699 and will take on Meta Quest 3.
  • The Asus AirVision M1 comes with built-in speakers, a touchpad, 1080p resolution and more to rival Apple's Vision Pro.

5. Asus ROG Phone 8 Series

The Asus ROG Phone 8 Series was one of the highlights of CES 2024. The series includes the Asus ROG Phone 8 and the Phone 8 Pro. The smartphones are powered by a Snapdragon 8 gen 3 SoC and feature a 6.78-inch 165Hz AMOLED panel. The devices run Android 14 and are IP68 rated. Under the hood is a 5,500 mAh battery with 65W fast charging.

On the back there is a 50MP+32MP camera setup and the difference between the 2 devices is the storage and RAM variants.

5. Electric vehicles

Kia introduced a new platform beyond vehicles for electric vehicles. The first PBV product is called PV 5, a modular van-type vehicle that comes in 4 variants. A PV7 and a PV1 are also in development.

Sony and Honda's upcoming EV Afeela comes with unique features such as the ability to change lanes, automatic parking, a media bar to support AT navigation, smart entry that will unlock the car when the user looks at it , advanced driver assistance, and much more. more. There is a giant screen inside the car which will offer all the infotainment options.

Bosch teased in-car eye tracking while driving. The technology will read your eyes and if you have tired eyes, it will instruct the machine to keep an espresso coffee ready for when you get home.

6. Gaming Accessories

Sony has updated the colors of the PS5 Slim with the corresponding two-way controller. It will be available in Cobalt Blue, Sterling Silver, and Volcanic Red colors.

Lenovo's eco-friendly mouse and keyboard were also showcased. The mouse comes with a crank that can be rotated to provide battery power while the keyboard comes with solar panels to harvest sunlight and power it.

7. Health Monitoring Launches

Various devices were showcased at CES 2024 that help monitor our health parameters.

  • Ultrahuman announced a home health tracker priced at $349. It looks like a WiFi router and comes with various sensors that will monitor natural and artificial light levels, air pollution, noise, humidity, smoke and other parameters to assess the health of the home .
  • Movano has launched a wearable Evie smart ring with sensors such as menstrual health sensors, hormone trackers, energy levels, sleep and activity trackers.
  • LG AI agent is a robotic home manager that can track the temperature, humidity and air quality inside your home. It can connect to smart devices, greet you at the door and gauge the mood of family members by looking at their faces.
  • Withings BeamO is a 4-in-1 health monitoring device that can measure body temperature, blood oxygen and ECG and serves as a digital stethoscope to monitor an individual's heart and lung functions. The device can alert in case of health problems like asthma and COPD, among others.
  • Accurate Meditech has announced a cuffless blood pressure monitor for over-the-counter use. It measures blood pressure, SpO2 and core body temperature.
  • The Garmin Lily 2 smartwatch is a fashionable yet health-focused wearable with sleep monitoring, built-in sports apps, heart rate, SpO2, and other sensors.

8. Google and Samsung partnership

Google and Samsung announced their collaboration to integrate sharing solutions into a single multi-Android solution as part of the QQuick share option. With this option, the user can tap the quick share icon to see the full list of available nearby devices. It's safer and easier to share with the Quick Share option. Its deployment will begin next month.
