Honor’s pricey Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design foldable phone goes official،

Honor announced its collaboration with Porsche last year, and one of the results of this partnership is the Magic V2 RSR Porsche Designa unique foldable smartphone that's going to cost a small fortune.

Featuring the same hardware as the “classic” Magic V2, the Porsche Design model is available in a single version containing 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal memory. But that's completely understandable given that it's not really a mainstream product.

The main difference is of course in the design. This special Magic V2 features Porsche's Flyline signature. Additionally, it only comes in one color called “Porsche Agate Grey”.

According to Honor, the body of the phone is made of sports car fiberglass, but those might just be marketing words. Regardless, the Porsche Design Magic V2 RSR is different from other foldable phones, and in a good way.

The Porsche Design Magic V2 RSR measures 156.7 x 74 x 9.9 mm folded and 156.7 x 145.4 x 4.7 mm unfolded. It also weighs around 234g with the battery included.

It comes with a 7.92-inch (2344 x 2156 pixels) internal display and a 6.43-inch (2376 x 1060 pixels) external display. Both are OLED and offer a 120Hz refresh rate.

Unfortunately, Honor's new flagship does not come with Qualcomm's latest chipset. Instead, the Chinese company decided to include the previous generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

Additionally, the phone does not come with the latest version of Android. Honor has confirmed that the Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design comes with MagicOS 7.2, based on Android 13.

As for the camera, this one comes with the same triple-camera setup as the “vanilla” Magic V2, which consists of 50-megapixel wide, 50-megapixel ultra-wide, and 20-megapixel telephoto cameras. megapixels.

The new Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, which supports the company's SuperCharge 66WW technology.

At the moment, the Porsche Design Magic V2 RSR is only available for purchase in China for the equivalent of €2,050 / $2,250. This is an expensive phone, just like most other foldable flagships.
