Pixel 8 Pro owners face a pink/yellow text bug on always-on display،
Recently, Google rolled out its Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Those who jumped on the pre-order bandwagon first are already getting their hands on the latest and greatest from Google. THE Pixel 8 The series is making waves thanks to its excellent performance and impressive AI integration, showcasing Google’s creative use of artificial intelligence. However, as with most technologies, there are some bumps in the road. 9to5Googleusers took Reddit share a particular problem with the Pixel 8 Pro, particularly linked to its permanent display. Some reports mention text appearing in shades of pink and yellow on a small portion of the screen, usually on the side or top.

This color change seems to happen when the text changes from white. Interestingly, this is more noticeable in dimly lit environments. Once the screen is fully lit, everything returns to normal, including the text.
This problem appears to be prevalent both in Pixel 8 ProThe stable software version of and the beta version of Android 14 QPR1. Although the focus is on software issues, the possibility of a hardware issue cannot be entirely ruled out. It’s still early to say for sure, but it’s possible that a software update will do the trick and fix the problem.
While it’s not a major crisis, it’s definitely frustrating to encounter issues on a brand-new $1,000 smartphone. No device is immune to potential issues, but it’s reassuring to see manufacturers stepping in to address them. Here’s hoping Google does just that.
