Samsung’s Ballie Makes An Appearance At The CES 2024 – With A Projector،

At the Consumer Electronics Show 2024, the Korean technology giant once again presented the Ballie robot. However, this time the robot has a built-in projector capable of projecting multiple screens on the floor, wall or ceiling. Samsung also uploaded a teaser for the device on its official YouTube channel. The video shows what Ballie can do in a pretty fun way. However, we still don't know if the robot will hit the market.

Ballie could support input via test and voice

The first thing the video shows is an app that lets users interact with the robot, which clicks on a video of the user's pet dog and sends it. Then the user asks the robot to give the dog snacks and play its favorite video. In response to this, Ballie walks over to a smart dog food dispenser and takes remote control of the device. Then it projects a video onto the floor that the dog can watch.

It also serves as a smart home control device

The next part of the video shows how Ballie can take control of other smart home devices, like lights, air conditioners, washing machines, etc. When the user arrives home, the intelligent robot projects a welcome message onto the floor. Ballie can also listen to voice commands, like other voice assistants we use, with the wake-up phrase “Hey Ballie”.

The built-in projector looks futuristic, but we don't have any details on it yet

It can also help project video calls onto a larger screen, take voice calls, serve as a second screen (as shown in the video), and be a workout companion that demonstrates correct form via videos on the wall and keeps track of the workout. activity. Finally, the robot can follow users thanks to its integrated wheels. Towards the end of the video, Ballie projects a celestial image on the ceiling as users go to bed.

Samsung has not yet disclosed the price and availability of the product

Additionally, Ballie looks like a smart and fun little helper with wheels that can help users control their home devices and perform other tasks like making/answering calls, playing videos, listening to music, etc. . However, the only problem is that Samsung showed off an older version of the same robot at CES 2020, but it was never released. Additionally, the teaser only shows the use cases of the device, leaving its price or availability.

Nevertheless, we already have similar robotic assistants on the market, such as Amazon Astro, which costs $1,599 in the United States. Given that Samsung's Ballie has a built-in projector, there's a good chance it costs the same.
