Oppo India’s Chief Marketing Officer Steps Down After Three Years With The Company،

Oppo India Marketing Director Damyant Singh Khanoria has decided to leave the company. He joined the Indian wing of the Chinese smartphone maker in December 2020 and reported directly to Oppo India Chairman Elvis Zhou.

Oppo has launched several successful ranges over the past three years

Under Khanoria, Oppo India has launched several popular handsets including Oppo F19, F21, A93, Reno 10, Find N2 and N3 Flip phones. The brand's market share also increased, from 9% in the fourth quarter of 2021 to 12% in the first quarter of 2023. Although it is unclear, the decline in shipments in recent quarters may have influenced the resignation of the marketing director.

It is a bit strange that the CMO stepped down just before the Reno 11 series launched on January 12, 2024. The lineup will consist of two smartphones: the Reno 11 and the Reno 11 Pro.

In the past, Khanoria has worked at companies like Adidas and Apple. However, it is unclear where the executive will head next.
