SAN FRANCISCO – Golden State forward Draymond Green attended the Warriors' visit Sunday and sat on the bench as he returned to the team's facilities for the first time since his indefinite suspension.

Green was reinstated by the league on Saturday after a suspension that lasted 12 games. The NBA announced an indefinite ban for Green on Dec. 13, a day after he hit center Jusuf Nurkic during a game against the Phoenix Suns.

“Everyone is excited to see him,” coach Steve Kerr said Sunday before Golden State’s game against the Toronto Raptors. “He's one of our leaders and he's happy to be back. So it's a good atmosphere.”

Green, 33, was on the bench during Sunday's game, involved in the huddles during timeouts. The Warriors lost to the Raptors 133-118.

Green is expected to need about a week to ramp up before returning to action, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday.

The Warriors will face the Chicago Bulls (Friday) and Milwaukee Bucks (Saturday) before traveling to Memphis for a game against the Grizzlies on Monday.

“He will work with [trainer] Grindstone [Celebrini] every day,” Kerr said Sunday. “Do a lot of shooting, scrimmage, but I have no idea when all that will take place.”

The Warriors went 7-5 in the 12 games Green was suspended.
