Ather 450 Apex Hits the Roads with Enhanced Power and Cutting-Edge Regenerative Technology, Priced at Rs 1.89 Lakh

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Ather Energy has unveiled the Ather 450 Apex, which represents the pinnacle of the startup's first scooter platform. This latest model is the brand's fastest and most powerful offering to date. Priced at Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the Ather 450 Apex holds the title of the most expensive Ather model produced so far.

Production of the Apex will be limited, making it available for purchase for approximately eight to nine months. Reservations have been open for a few weeks and deliveries should begin in March 2024.

450 Apex Specs and Powertrain

Although the 450 Apex retains many of the features of the standard 450X, Ather has introduced distinctive visual elements to set it apart. The scooter sports a unique two-coat “Indium Blue” paint job, complemented by contrasting orange accents on the wheels, logos and frame. A fun addition to the 450 Apex is the incorporation of near-transparent side panels, reminiscent of the translucent panels initially introduced with the Ather 450X Series 1.

The 450 Apex, with its upgraded engine, achieves a maximum power of 7 kW (0.6 kW more than the standard 450X), while maintaining a constant torque output of 26 Nm. Featuring an advanced “Warp+” driving mode , this Ather model proudly holds the title of the first to achieve a top speed of 100 km/h. Notable performance improvements include a 0-25 mph acceleration time of 2.9 seconds, almost half a second faster than the standard scooter. Ather also claims a substantial 30% improvement in rolling acceleration, ensuring a faster sprint from 40 to 80 km/h.

The Apex inherits the 3.7 kWh battery, suspension and braking system from the 450X. Although it is not equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS), it has a standard tire pressure monitoring system for added safety.
