ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – After suffering a hard hit in the fourth quarter of the Buffalo Bills' win over the New England Patriots on Sunday, quarterback Josh Allen said he was “ready to go” before the team's game against the Miami Dolphins and that he is not affected “at all” by the injury.

Allen was listed as a full participant during the team's visit Wednesday because of a neck injury, in addition to a right finger injury. He hasn't missed a start since his rookie season.

“It's still painful, we'll continue to take it one day at a time,” coach Sean McDermott said of Allen's neck injury. “But I expect him to play.”

The neck injury occurred on Allen's final play of the game against the Patriots as he rushed four yards to secure a first down and end the game. Backup quarterback Kyle Allen stepped in for the final two plays to kneel in the victory formation.

The winner of the Bills-Dolphins game on Sunday night will clinch the AFC East division title and the AFC's second seed. Although Miami has already clinched a playoff spot, if the Bills lose, they will need help from the rest of the AFC to make the playoffs. A Steelers loss or tie against the Ravens, a Jaguars loss or tie against the Titans or a tie between the Texans and Colts would guarantee a playoff berth for the Bills. The Bills would also make the playoffs with a tie against Miami.

Allen just finished his first game of the season without throwing a passing touchdown. He has 12 consecutive games with two or more touchdowns against the Dolphins, including the playoffs, the longest streak against a single opponent in NFL history.

The Bills have won four straight games and are looking to win a fourth straight division title.

“We've talked about it over the last five or six weeks about how our season can go and what we want to do and what we want to accomplish and everything we want to accomplish is still in front of us,” he said. Allen said. “But once again, it will take a group effort in all three phases to achieve victory on Sunday in a hostile environment.”
