While January 2024 is loaded with new smartphone releases, there is one brand that has confirmed things a month in advance. Vivo's sub-brand iqoo has confirmed the launch of iQOO Neo 9 Pro in India in February 2024.
iQOO's official X (formerly Twitter) account has shared a post confirming the arrival of iQOO Neo 9 Pro in India next month. The brand claimed it was the pinnacle of performance and design redefinition possibilities. Here are the messages confirming the launch.
iQOO Neo 9 Series
iQOO launched the iQOO Neo 9 series in China in December 2023. It included the iQOO Neo 9 And iQOO Neo 9 Pro. Reports claim that iQOO will only bring the Pro model to India and will give tough competition to the Poco X6 and OnePlus 12R. Since it has already launched in China, we know what iQOO Neo 9 Pro will look like.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro: specifications expected in India
In India, iQOO Neo 9 Pro is expected to have a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. It will most likely be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of onboard storage. The device will feature an Adreno 740 GPU.
The smartphone will run Android 14 with Origin OS 4.0 and is expected to pack a 5,160mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support. On the back will be a triple-camera setup with a 50MP primary lens and a 50 MP ultra-wide lens. On the front will be a 16MP selfie snapper. At the same time, additional features include a dedicated Q1 chip, 6k canopy VC cooling, in-display fingerprint sensor, 5G connectivity, NFC, IR blaster, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, and more.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro: Price
In China, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro starts at RMB 2,999 (around Rs. 36,100) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. In India, it could be priced below Rs. 35,000 to compete with a another mid-range device. iQOO might not launch the 512GB and 1TB models in the country and stick only to the 256GB version.
iQOO could also launch the iQOO Watch and iqoo TWS 1e in India alongside the iQOO Neo 9 Pro in February.
