Samsung to disseminate Galaxy S24 series Unpacked invites on January 2nd،

For months, we've been hearing that Samsung's first Unpacked 2024 event will take place on January 17. If you're new to the exciting world of mobile devices, your first thought might be, “Who cares?” » But the first Samsung Unpacked event of each year carries more weight because it's the event where Samsung will showcase its latest flagship Galaxy S models.

Samsung has moved the calendar forward from earlier this year as the first Unpacked 2023 event took place on February 1. By putting the wheels in motion earlier, Samsung would have released the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra on January 30 next year, compared to the February 17 release date this year for the Galaxy S23 line. This will give the Galaxy S24 models two extra weeks to challenge the latest iPhone and Pixel models compared to when the Galaxy S23 line had earlier this year.

There is speculation that media invitations for the first Unpacked 2024 event will go out starting January 2. A leaker “X” with the username @MystèreLupin says the unveiling will take place in San Jose, California, and festivities will begin at 10 a.m. PST (i.e. 1 p.m. EST). As usual, the spotlight was on the new Ultra model but this year, the Galaxy S24+ will benefit from a larger screen, bigger battery and more RAM.

A list of rumored AI features for the Galaxy S24 series recently revealed that the flagship lineup could feature AI processing for videos similar to the Pixel 8 Pro's Video Boost. This will improve low-light video performance, reduce that horrible grainy look on some videos, and improve stability and exposure.

Other features would remove unwanted subjects from videos and increase the size of borders on new and old photos. Another interesting AI feature is supposed to take important information mentioned during a phone call and create a list of actions surrounding the tasks discussed during the call. These tasks will be posted to a calendar app or added to a “to-do” list. Live Translate will allow two people speaking different languages to participate in a telephone conversation.

Invites for the January 17 Unpacked event are expected to arrive on Tuesday and @MysteryLupin's tweet reveals that Samsung will heavily promote the new AI features for its new flagship models.
