Grealish family not harmed in home burglary – Pep Guardiola

Jack Grealish's house was broken into while Manchester City played Everton earlier this week, but fortunately no member of his family was injured, his manager Pep Guardiola said on Friday.

British media reported that Grealish's home in Cheshire was targeted by burglars on Wednesday while his fiancee and her family were there.

Reports indicate that jewelry and watches worth £1 million ($1.27 million) were stolen.

“Luckily nothing bad happened where the family was inside,” Guardiola told reporters.

“That's what's happening today, with a lot of things happening. It was a bad time for him and his family but fortunately what wasn't damaged were the people at the interior.”

Reuters has contacted Cheshire Police for comment.

City signed Grealish in 2021 from Aston Villa for a Premier League record £100m. He is expected to be available for Saturday's home game against Sheffield United.
