Xiaomi to extend the HyperOS 2024 update to almost 100 devices،
Xiaomi announces a new list of devices that will receive the HyperOS update – it is the operating system that will succeed the now discontinued MIUI, although some refrain from calling HyperOS a “new operating system” because it is very similar to MIUI.
Last time, Xiaomi talked about just eight devices that would benefit from HyperOS globally; now they are announcing the second batch consisting of 80 devices, bringing the total number of HyperOS eligible phones and tablets to a total of 88 electronic devices.
This latest batch includes both Xiaomi and Redmi devices, including popular models such as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, Redmi K50 Gaming, and Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro (via Gizmochina). The rollout will most likely take place between January and June 2024, and the specific dates will certainly vary for each device as the update will be rolled out in waves. This upgrade plan will be specifically aimed at China for now. Xiaomi has, however, announced a global rollout plan for HyperOS which will begin in the first quarter of 2024. These devices are the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13T Pro, Xiaomi 13T, Redmi Note 12, the Redmi Note 12S and the Xiaomi Pad 6 tablet.
