User discovers fix for silent iPhone alarms after sleeping through important things،
Has anyone else had issues with their alarms not going off in the morning like this? I usually set multiple alarms in sequence, as you can see in this picture. Only my 6:45am alarm actually went off and I woke up to find that my previous alarms had all remained “set” but had not sounded. None of these alarms are recurring, so they should not “reset” after going off. I also didn't repeat any of the early alarms. Is this happening to anyone else? This is incredibly inconvenient, because the time I actually want to wake up is 6:38am. »
iPhone alarm goes off without any sound
It turned out that many were in the same boat as them, with the common theme being that sometimes the iPhone alarm goes off without any sound. Most users facing this problem set too many alarms one after another.
Yes, the same thing happened to me, I set the alarm and then nothing happened when it should have gone off but it showed that it was still active. Confusing.” – lost cause2

High jacking because I fixed this problem. There is a feature called Attention Attention, and it doesn't work. You have to turn it off (in 2 settings locations, frustrating). It thinks you're looking at the phone when the alarm goes off, so it immediately silences it. This is ridiculous and has made me fall asleep at school several times. The physical alarm is by mail.”
The feature uses the TrueDepth camera to determine if you're paying attention to your iPhone and takes action accordingly. For example, if it detects that you're looking at your phone, it will reduce the volume of alerts because it assumes you're looking at the screen anyway.
It seems that iPhones work iOS 17 Don't play the alarm sound when Attention Aware thinks the user is already awake.
If you have encountered this issue, you may want to turn off Attention Aware by going to the Accessibility settings or the Face ID & Attention menu.
What can happen is that if too many alarms go off, they may overlap with the alarms you have snoozed, which has a small chance of disrupting them. ” – Letsdocraic
If none of these solutions work and your iPhone alarm continues to make no sound, you'll have to wait until Apple rolls out a fix. In the meantime, you can go back to the good old alarm clock.
