Buggy Google services are ruining the Pixel Watch experience for users, but it’s not the end of the world،
The Pixel Watch is having issues with two popular Google services, which naturally doesn't make anyone happy.
Of course, these are minor inconveniences and not some performance hurdles – the Pixel Watch is still one of the best performing smartwatches on the market. In fact, the better the device, the higher users' expectations and the less patience they have for such small disruptions.
The first recently noticed Pixel Watch the bug is related to the At a Glance complication (via Android titles). This is the widget that, depending on the watch face you are using, displays useful daily information. When you look at it, you will see three lines of information with the date, temperature and forecast.
Now the At a Glance complication has been changed and for some reason it no longer shows the date at all. Only the temperature and forecast remain on the widget. It doesn't feel like the end of the world, because the date is literally right at your fingertips on your phone screen (and this thing is on you 24 hours a day, right?), but people want things to behave as expected and not drop even small things like the date.
9to5GoogleThe report suggests that this is a server-side change and it is hoped that Google will resolve it shortly.
The other issue is with the latest Gboard update – if Pixel Watch users try to install it, they can't (yet). People have reported seeing the update available on the Google Play Store for the Gboard app, but upon tapping the Install button, an error message appears saying “Unable to install Gboard”.

In addition to fixing a few bugs (obviously, not the At a Glance and Gboard issues we just talked about), the update extends the Pixel Watchthe abilities of. You can now unlock your Pixel phone with your smartwatch when it's nearby, adding a touch of futuristic convenience. Plus, new features like Call Screen recently landed on Pixel watches, letting you screen calls and respond with quick messages right from your wrist. There is also a new batch of watch faces!
