About to fly this holiday season? You might be happy to know that your AirPods can do this in-flight،

A TikTok video made by a passenger on a Delta flight shows her pairing her AirPods with the in-flight entertainment center in the seatback of the jet she was in. This allows users to use their AirPods while watching a movie or any other available program. The flight was taking Elise Brulotte to Honolulu from Seattle and she was on board Delta's Airbus A321neo which was first introduced into service by the airline in May 2022.
In first class, the seat backs feature an entertainment center with a 13-inch high-definition touchscreen. The system would contain more than 500 films and TV series and the aircraft itself would carry 194 seats, including 20 domestic first class seats, 42 Comfort+ seats and 132 seats in the main cabin. Brulotte's TikTok followers responded by writing about similar experiences on other airlines. I had this on a United flight. It was a game changer,” one said. Another commented: “The new Virgin Airlines had this and I was so happy lol”, and another replied: “I just did this on Emirates!”
If you're old enough (like this writer), you might remember when airlines started offering recycled headphones packaged in plastic bags. The headphones would be plugged into a port on the armrest and the passenger would be able to choose from a small selection of audio channels.

The best entertainment idea an airline came up with came when this writer was on a flight and the airline arranged for Maureen McGovern, the artist who sang “The Morning After” in the 1973 disaster film ” The Poseidon Adventure”, sings this song live in front of an audience. in-flight accompaniment track. I vaguely remember an announcement that the airline was testing this for future flights.

As McGovern began to sing the song, the plane experienced turbulence and several passengers, remembering “The Poseidon Adventure”, gasped and panicked. Needless to say, the airline ended this experiment pretty quickly. But we are moving away.

It's clear from Brulotte's TikTok video that pairing the AirPods to the entertainment center via Bluetooth is a breeze. And even though other airlines offer this feature, you may not have known this feature was available to you. Don't forget to charge your AirPods and be ready to go on your next flight, in case the carrier you're taking offers this feature.

Sure, it's not much of a game changer, but using your own AirPods to listen to in-flight entertainment could make the stressful task of flying a little easier to manage.
