Insane design, invisible under-screen camera, huge battery: this might be the phone of your dreams،

Have you always wanted your smartphone to look like two compact cameras and one phone to have offspring? Your prayers have been answered, as the Nubia Z60 Ultra redefines smartphone design and will definitely polarize people's opinions with its looks.

The company has been releasing teasers in recent days, and the latest is a video comparing the Nubia Z60 Ultra to the iPhone 15 Pro. Besides the very interesting design, there are a few other things to note. Let's see what the Nubia Z60 Ultra brings to the smartphone table.

Invisible camera under the screen and all-screen design

One of the key points in the comparison video is the Z60 Ultra's under-display camera. Nubia wants to show how much screen space is preserved by opting for a UDC solution rather than a pill-shaped cutout.

Many smartphone brands have been striving to achieve what is seemingly the holy grail of smartphone design: the all-screen phone, and it looks like the under-screen camera solution will be the way to go (even Samsung's adopts in its foldables).

In the comparison video, the Nubia Z60 Ultra's under-display camera appears virtually invisible during the demo. It is not yet known whether this would be the case in a real situation and, above all, what the quality of the selfies would be.

The back design is quite radical, not only because of the layout and appearance of the cameras, but also in terms of colors. There is a variation called Starry Night that looks like a Van Gogh painting. Very cool!

The runaway Digital Chat Station also released some hands-on photos showing the flagship phone in detail.

Brighter screen than the iPhone 15 Pro (subjectively)

Another key point from the comparison video is that the Nubia Z60 Ultra's screen appears subjectively brighter than that of the iPhone 15 Pro. This comes with a huge drawback: the screen brightness can be adjusted manually, depends on the environment and is sometimes not correctly represented in videos.

The screen itself is a fast 6.8-inch, 120Hz AMOLED, with an in-display fingerprint sensor, another system under the screen. The pixel density is around 400 ppi, which is not the highest in the industry but still quite decent.

Huge battery and latest Snapdragon

Further down the spec sheet we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of flash storage, as well as a massive 6,000mAh battery with 80-watt fast charging.
This is by far the largest capacity we've seen in a flagship phone to date, but it's not exclusive to Nubia phones; the ROG series has been using 6,000mAh batteries for some time.

The camera sensors under the flamboyant rear design are a 50 MP main sensor of unknown origin (most likely Sony's new LYT-808 that we saw in recent Chinese flagship launches) under a main lens equivalent to 35mm, a 108 MP telephoto lens and a 50 or 64 MP ultra-wide camera with an 18mm equivalent focal length.

Official launch of the Nubia Z60 Ultra? Can I have this phone?

The Nubia Z60 Ultra will officially launch on Tuesday, December 19, and that's when we'll know for sure things like price and whether or not this phone will be available globally in some form.

Previous Nubia phones, such as the Red Magic gaming series, could be purchased through the Nubia online store, and some models also appear on Amazon, so the chances are pretty good.
