AI is all the rage these days and as impressive as the recently seen AI-based features are, we can't help but notice that some of them are a bit gimmicky and perhaps not very useful. Samsung's Galaxy Buds 3 Pro could change that perception by introducing a feature that can actually prove useful.

Economic journal Maeil reports that the upcoming Galaxy Buds could come with an on-device language translation feature.
SamMobile believe the outlet is referring to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, which is expected to arrive in the second part of 2024.
Unlike the Google Pixel Buds, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro won't need an internet connection to translate foreign languages. Not only is this great from a usability standpoint, but it will also ease privacy fears because you won't have to worry about your conversations being uploaded to the cloud.
It seems like a logical next step to offer a real-time translation service on the upcoming earbuds, as the Galaxy
S24 is all but confirmed to offer a phone call translation feature. The “AI Live Translate Call” functionality will be integrated into the
Galaxy S24and translate both sides of a call.
The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will offer an improved version of this feature and allow you to translate face-to-face conversations as they happen. This can be useful when traveling or even if you live in a country where many languages are spoken.

Galaxy S24 will apparently also be able to write emails and summarize sentences. One UI 6.1 is also expected to bring features like the Pixel 8's AI generative wallpapers to
Samsung phones. It is also rumored to bring photo editing features to the devices.
Although these features seem nice, the Galaxy S24 We may not have enough RAM to meet the requirements of AI-based tasks. So we'll have to wait and see if the AI experiments will actually be meaningful or if they're just integrated as checkbox features.
