Apple’s massive 17.2 update is here to improve your iPhone’s camera, messages, stability, and more،
Nearly three months after its initial release, iOS 17 is today receiving a major new stable update that has been in the works (i.e., in public beta testing) since late October. As you can imagine, this makes iOS 17.2 is a bit more feature-rich and important to a lot of people than version 17.1 shipped to the general public about a month and a half ago.
Who is the update for and what is it about?
It is obviously quite simple to know whether or not you are eligible to jump to iOS 17.2. All you have to do is answer this very basic question: does your iPhone support iOS 17? If so, naturally it can run the latest version of the operating system without problems (at least in theory), and if you want to download and install it on your officially supported mobile device, you can finally do so without restrictions nor hesitation (at least in theory) by opening the Settings app, then navigating to the following “General” and “Software Update” menus.
This clearly needed a lot of polishing before it was deemed ready for prime time, leveraging machine learning to help you easily keep records of events, trips, and other news-worthy “experiences.” memory. Personalized suggestions based on photos, workouts and “more” are the main strength and “selling point” of the app (don't worry, it's free to use), and yet privacy doesn't should not be a concern as Apple promises from start to finish. End encryption for everything related to Journal functionality.
