During the interview, he mentioned that his phone was unusable for a while because he was receiving continuous notifications. “iMessage did this thing where it stopped working for a while,” Altman explains in the podcast.
Additionally, he wasn't receiving messages on time because the service had to redirect too many text messages to him. Apart from late delivery of messages, iMessage also marked everything as read, which is very rare as few users have faced this issue. Although the number of messages Altman received is not known, it would have to be too high to disrupt Apple's servers that redirect iMessage texts.

Additionally, Altman also talked about how his firing caused a lot of confusion and chaos, even though the news didn't immediately feel real to him. He was upset by the board's decision to remove him. Following this, the company hired two interim CEOs until most employees expressed a desire to resign if they did not reinstate Sam Altman as CEO.
For a short time, Altman was employed at Microsoft, where Nadella offered him a CEO position within the company's new advanced AI research wing. However, Microsoft was comfortable even when Altman decided to return. Since then, OpenAI has formed its new board of directors, with D'Angelo serving as the only member representing the previous board and an observation seat for Microsoft.
