OnePlus 12 confirmed to launch globally on January 23،
Although the release date in international markets was leaked earlier, we can now say that the OnePlus 12 will officially launch on January 23, confirming previous rumors.
This comes from the Never Settle Summit held in Antwerp, Belgium, where a special event was organized for the OnePlus community to celebrate ten auspicious years of the brand. Alexander Vanderhaeghe, Country Manager of OnePLus Benelux, confirmed the date of January 23 for European markets and it will be joined by OnePlus 12R as well as a few other IoT products awaiting their arrival on January 23.
OnePlus 12 specifications
We already know about the OnePlus 12 given that it arrived in China earlier this week. It features a 6.82-inch oriental LTPO AMOLED 120Hz BOE X1 display with a whopping 4,500 nits of brightness. There's a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC under the hood paired with Adreno 750 GPU, up to 24GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
A triple rear camera array of 50+48+64MP benefits from Sony's algorithm optimizations and color adjustments by Hasselblad. There's a 9,140mm2 vapor chamber that's recently been eclipsed by the Realme GT5 Pro's 1,200mm2 VC.
On the battery front, we have a massive 5,400mAh battery that comes with 50W wireless charging and 100W wired charging, to name a few. We highly doubt there will be any changes to the OnePlus 12 as it prepares for its global launch on January 23.
Speculations speculated about the OnePlus 12R
Moving on, we also have a speculated R series device that will launch on January 23. Dubbed the OnePlus 12R, the successor to the 11R, the phone will receive last year's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC along with the Adreno 740 GPU, up to 512GB of storage. There is speculation that the phone will sport a 50 MP OIS primary, a 32 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera on top of a 16 MP front-facing camera.
On the battery front, we've seen speculation around a 5,550mAh capacity paired with 100W wired and wireless charging.
