iQOO 12 5G becomes 1st to launch globally with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC: India Launch on December 12،
Last month, the iQOO 12 5G series was launched in China and the flagship series is now official globally. The brand launched the iQOO 12 series in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia markets and it is the first smartphone launched globally powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The India launch date has was set for December 12 at 5 p.m., but before the launch, specifications (globally) and prices in India were discussed. Keep reading to find out.
iQOO 12 5G: specifications
iQOO 12 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with a dedicated Q1 chip, up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of onboard storage. It runs Android 14 with a custom FunTouch OS 14 skin on top and features a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 3,000 nits brightness, and PWM dimming of 2160 Hz.
Coming to the camera optics, the rear features a triple-lens setup comprising a 50 MP primary camera with OIS, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64 MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x zoom and 100x digital zoom. On the front is a 16MP camera for selfies. Under the hood, the device packs a 5,000mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging.

iQOO 12 5G: global pricing
In Thailand, iQOO 12 5G is available in a single 16GB + 512GB model for THB 27,900 (Rs. 66,000 approx).
In Malaysia and Indonesia too, it was announced in a single 16GB + 512GB model. In Malaysia, it costs RM3,999 (Rs. 71,300 approx), while in Indonesia it costs IDR 10,999,000 (Rs. 58,900).
The smartphone comes in black and white color options.
iQOO 12 5G: price in India announced
A few days ago, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore claimed that the Amazon listing revealed the iQOO 12 5G price in India. According to the Amazon listing, iQOO 12 will arrive in India in 2 storage models:
- 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – Rs. 9,999.52,999
- 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage – Rs. 9,999.57,999
Although these prices fall as per previous leaks and are slightly lower than the iqoo 11 when it launched, they have yet to be confirmed by the brand. We therefore expect that the actual price announced on December 12 will be lower than the announced prices.
Pre-booking for iQOO 12 5G was open until December 7 via Amazon and iQOO.com. The Rs. 999 priority pass will be adjusted according to the price and the pass holders will get Vivo TWS earphones worth Rs. Additionally, these pass holders will benefit from exclusive access to all offers that will be revealed on launch day. The event will be streamed live on iQOO India's YouTube channel.
