Samsung’s next mid-range beast appears in new renders،

What Samsung what it's doing with its mid-range Galaxy A line of handsets is pretty impressive. For the most part, they come with large screens, viable cameras, and huge batteries. Of course, you'll pay less for these phones than you would for a flagship model, even if a Galaxy A device has competitive specs. Samsung's next mid-range powerhouse is rumored to be the Galaxy A55.

We can even determine which chip will power the Galaxy A55. This will be the Exynos 1480, based on the application processor's supposed model number, S5E8845. Check out this model. The Exynos 1280 SoC had the model number S5E8825 and the Exynos 1380 SoC had the model number S5E8835. Note that the last two digits of each chip's model number correspond to the name of the model it powered.

If you don't understand, check this:

  • Chip model number S5E8825 (Exynos 1280 SoC) was used on the Galaxy A25.
  • Chip model number S58835 (Exynos 1380 SoC) was used on the Galaxy A35.
  • Chip model number S58855 (Exynos 1480 SoC?) could be used on the Galaxy A55.

The Galaxy A55 is expected to be released early next year and will replace the Galaxy A54 released last March.

The renders show the power button and volume button at the top right with the SIM slot at the top of the phone. The left side of the device is free of any buttons. A speaker and a USB-C port are on the bottom of the phone. Antenna lines on the phone's body suggest that the device could have a metal build and the display should measure 6.5 inches with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The triple camera setup at the The rear could include a 50 MP main camera and the battery would support 25W fast charging.

The Samsung Galaxy A55 could be released in the first quarter of 2024.
