Dak Prescott stays hot, keeps Cowboys rolling against Seahawks،
ARLINGTON – Dak Prescott isn’t going to get carried away with a fourth straight win, a late touchdown or three more scoring passes.
The Dallas Cowboys’ 41-35 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night was simply Prescott doing what he thought he had to do.
“Honestly, my expectations,” Prescott said. “I put a lot into this game. I’m preparing like crazy. I have incredible coaches and players around me right now who are doing the exact same thing. So I definitely think those are the expectations that I have. I have for myself the standard that we have created as an offense and how comfortable we are in this game.”
Prescott has never been more comfortable. In his last seven games, he has 21 touchdown passes, including three against Seattle, and only two interceptions. The Cowboys are 6-1 since their Oct. 8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, and Prescott managed to lead a punt-less offense Thursday, scoring on eight of 10 offensive possessions, including a knee-down for end victory.
Head coach Mike McCarthy said Prescott’s play was reminiscent of what he saw Aaron Rodgers do during his MVP seasons when they were with the Green Bay Packers.
“Dak plays good ball. It’s fun when you’re in that rhythm,” McCarthy said. “He’s got really good command. And it’s just a connection with his teammates. We get in and out fluidly. We play with really good pace. And that’s how we want to attack. You can’t do it. do that with a championship-caliber quarterback. And Dak is that guy.”
Prescott hasn’t gotten the Cowboys past the divisional round of the playoffs yet, but he can’t do anything about it until January. At 9-3, the Cowboys appear to be on their way to a third straight playoff season, something they haven’t done since the 1990s, when they won three Super Bowls.

Prescott said he isn’t concerned about MVP talk or a Super Bowl at this point. He’s more focused on the weekend off to watch the NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles take on the 49ers on Sunday and to rest his body after playing three games in 12 days.
If the Niners beat the Eagles, the Cowboys will be just one game behind in the division. The Eagles won the first meeting against the Cowboys 28-23 on November 5.
“I’m going to watch this game and then use it as a little film study, honestly,” Prescott said. “Then when this game is over, first thing Monday morning, believe me, I will watch the game from the last time we played them again to the games they played last month between when we played them. I’m excited for it. Really. The way we’re playing, understanding how this game went last time. We can have this group here at home. There’s a lot of things we’re excited about.
