Galaxy Enhance-X: Even older Galaxy A series phones get Samsung’s AI image editor app،

Even older, non-premium Samsung phones get the popular Galaxy Enhance-X app!

The image-editing app that leverages AI to deliver stunning editing results can now be used on the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A34 (via SamMobile). Of course, it is a must that the phones already have the recently released Android 14 and One UI 6 installed.

A few weeks ago, Samsung announced that Galaxy Enhance-X would be available on select Galaxy A series devices with One UI 6, and the Galaxy A54 was the first to benefit from it. The addition of the two aforementioned models is welcome.

The Galaxy A34 (which has access to Android 14 in some markets) has also been listed as an eligible device, so users can now download the AI image editing app from the Galaxy Store.

The report indicates that even the Galaxy A53 can download and use Galaxy Enhance-X, although Samsung has not officially stated that 2022 Galaxy A smartphones will be eligible.

All this leads us to the logical assumption that the Galaxy A33 will also support Galaxy Enhance-X once it gets One UI 6, although this is not confirmed at the moment as it still runs Android 13/ One UI 5. Overall, Samsung might offer Galaxy Enhance-X to other A series phones, but it’s up to users to check in the Galaxy Store once their Galaxy A series device has received Android 14.

What is Galaxy Enhance-X?

As the Samsung team says, the Galaxy Enhance-X is powered by AI and offers “one-click comprehensive image enhancement” as well as the flexibility to adjust specific features, including HDR.

There is a wide range of tools available for photo customization. HDR, for example, analyzes highlights, shadows, brightness and contrast, expanding the dynamic range of the image and making its lighting richer without sacrificing quality. Like many of the Galaxy Enhance-X’s features, it also offers different intensity levels – from 0 to 4 in the case of HDR.

Additionally, images we receive through social media or other messaging apps often come to us compressed after being uploaded. In such cases, the Upscale tool increases the resolution of images below 1 MP by up to four times for consistent, sharp details.
